 |
| The Client:
Part of an international manufacturing group, this substantial division manufactures aerospace sub-systems for the global OEM market. |
 |
| The Brief:
Pressure was being exerted on the UK organisation to find
new markets and ways of increasing revenue through an
ambitious new market and new product development programme.
The Company was keen to expand it's portfolio of aerospace
products and therefore needed a sector expert to guide
their business development activities. |
 |
| The Solution:
The client had a strong but well-founded belief in Executive Search and had used several providers before Guildsrealm. However, when we met
the client, we recommended a 'hybrid' approach with a Daily Telegraph advertisement in Guildsrealm's name. This allowed us to interview a shortlist with the best of all worlds.

| Operations Director |
 |
| The Client:
A US owned Ј10 million turnover Batch Manufacturer for the world market |
 |
| The Brief:
A US owned manufacturing company with a strong order book and
a market leading reputation was under pressure to cut costs and improve
productivity. The Company freely admitted to having serious issues with poor manufacturing efficiency and products were too expensive to manufacture because of their design. |
 |
| The Solution: Guildsrealm was approached to solve these problems. Following a face-to-face meeting with the Managing Director, we proposed advertised selection as the solution. The candidate required would need a mix of experience in batch manufacturing including design for manufacture, 5s and 6 Sigma cultural change experience. A Telegraph advert appeared and 175 applied. Guildsrealm interviewed eight candidates and three client shortlist interviews took place. In the client's own words 'the position was filled by an outstanding candidate'.

The Client:
A FTSE 100 Speciality Medical Packaging Company. |
 |
| The Brief:
Both Procurement and Materials Management needed reorganising and there was an emphasis on sourcing inventory from low cost manufacturing economies. The parent company also wished to see E-Procurement being introduced. Therefore it was decided
to recruit a senior individual who could oversee the whole function with a view to improving customer service and reduce costs.

| The Solution:
We recommended search because candidates for this type
of role are scarce. Our target list was based on high
volume manufacturers of consumer orientated disposable
products, FMCG, pharmaceutical, etc with some element
of packaging buying being in the brief. The search located
several people whom we interviewed, one candidate was
appointed. He was a CIPS qualified individual who had experience of heading purchasing/materials
management within a FTSE 100 company and met the clients
brief perfectly. |
